The fact that this is a model influenced by classic models like Edward Green's iconic Galway boot is nothing we're hiding, here interpreted by Yanko and us at Skolyx. A more casual take compared to what you normally see, made on the round 960 last which from experience we know is suitable both for wearers of F and G width. With storm welt and high quality scotch grain leather from the Hermès owned French tannery Du Puy.
Yanko is one of the oldest classic shoe brands in the city Inca on Mallorca, one of the centres for shoemaking in Spain. Yanko was one of the largest makers of Goodyear welted shoes in the world back in the 90's, producing over a million pairs of shoes a year. They are much smaller today, but all the knowledge and experience is still with them, making some really great shoes at an impressive price tag.
Construction:
Goodyear welted.
Leather board heel stiffeners which adapt to your feet (cheaper brands usually use plastic heel stiffeners which makes the shoes hard to break in).
